My name is Aidan Doolan. I live in Dublin (Ireland), with my wife and two kids. You can view my public profile on LinkedIn here.
I'm currently focused on my work at Ideal Binary. Check out my new blog here.
Over the course of the last 15 years I've worked as an assistant animator, graphics artist, game designer/programmer, and middleware programmer (both high-end 3D PC based, right the way down to Mobile Device middleware). I've worked with clients like Konami, Capcom, Sony, Disney, From Software, Gremlin Graphics, and Smartforce among others.
I've researched and written various types of desktop applications, such as procedural environment editors, advanced 3D vehicle and skeletal physics engines, Mobile Device porting tools (Visual Studio Add-ins), etc, using languages such as C++, C#, Java and Java ME.
In 1999, based on a recommendation from Craig R. Barrett (then CEO of Intel), Angel, a 3D web based e-learning project programmed by my brother (Kevin) and me was nominated for the ComputerWorld Smithsonian Award.

Kevin has put some screen grabs up on Flickr of some of the old projects (including Angel 1 and 2) and games we've worked on over the years. You can check them out here.
I enjoy programming, portrait sketching, reading and spending lots of time with my family.
